The Teen Space at the Abington Free Library is just that – a space for teens! Teens are welcome to come hang out, check out a book or graphic novel, or play a board game. While everyone is invited to browse the collection, when school is not in session the Space is for teens only – no adults allowed!
In The Teen Space you will find young adult books, graphic novels, manga, audio books, and flash cards to check out. Want to hang out with your friends? We also have board games, coloring, and more!
The Teen Space at the Abington Free Library also has a Self-Care Station! Free dental supplies, period products, lip balm, soap, and more – no questions asked. Thank you to MVP Family Dental and our patrons for your support of the Station. If you are interested in donating to the Station, contact Young Adult Librarian Sara Huff at firstname.lastname@example.org or 215-885-5180, 147.
Get Involved with Teen Programming!
The Abington Teen Advisory Board (Ab-TAB) offers teens in grade 6-12 the opportunity to make a positive difference in the Library community.
Looking to help your community—and complete volunteer hours? Find out more about volunteering at the Abington Township Public Library and return to the library. Volunteer at the Library! Abington students can find volunteer opportunities at both the Abington Free Library and the Roslyn Library on the Abington School District’s Service Learning site.
More for Teens
The Library’s Q Crew is for LGBTQ+ teens and teen allies in grades 6-12. Q Crew is a safe space for teens to hang out, talk, and make new friends. There are crafts, activities, and of course, snacks. Meets every second Tuesday at the Abington Free Library.
Teens: Read books, attend programs, win prizes! What could be better?
Volunteer to be a reading buddy to kids at the library during the summer.
We'll soon be asking for book reviews from local teens.
Just read a book that moved you? Got an opinion? Send your book review to email@example.com.
