Teens

The Teen Space at the Abington Free Library is just that – a space for teens! Teens are welcome to come hang out, check out a book or graphic novel, or play a board game. While everyone is invited to browse the collection, when school is not in session the Space is for teens only – no adults allowed!

Get Involved with the Library!

The Library's Teen Advisory Board (Ab-TAB) offers teens in grade 6-12 the opportunity to make a positive difference in the Library community. To learn more about the work they do and how to get involved, tap here: Ab-TAB .

Teens volunteer in a variety of ways at the Library.  Tap the link below to learn more.

In The Teen Space you will find young adult books, graphic novels, manga, audio books, and flash cards to check out. Want to hang out with your friends? We also have board games, coloring, and more!

The Teen Space at the Abington Free Library has a Self-Care Station! Free dental supplies, period products, lip balm, soap, and more – no questions asked. Thank you to those who continue to donate to keep this section filled. If you are interested in donating to the Station, contact Young Adult Librarian Sara Huff at shuff@mclinc.org or 215-885-5180, 147.

More for Teens

The Library’s Q Crew is for LGBTQ+ teens and teen allies in grades 6-12. Q Crew is a safe space for teens to hang out, talk, and make new friends. There are crafts, activities, and of course, snacks.  Meets every second Tuesday at the Abington Free Library.

Volunteer to be a reading buddy to kids at the library during the summer.
