The Friends of the Abington Township Public Library is a 501(c)3 comprised of dedicated volunteers who are committed to keeping Abington libraries strong.
The Friends fundraise to support the work of the Abington Township Public Library through the BookCellar, their bookstore on the ground floor of the Abington Free Library, special book, plant, and jewelry sales, and membership campaigns, as well as grants.
The Friends help to fund critical programs and resources for the library, including our Museum Passes, the Lucky Day Collection, new books, movies, computers, and library furnishings. The Friends support amazing library programs for children, teens, and adults, including the Author Speaker Series.
It’s easy to join the Friends! The group is open to everyone who uses our libraries—residents, businesses, people who work in Abington, teachers, and students—even if you live outside of Abington Township. Your participation makes a difference.
Bring your ideas to our quarterly meetings and volunteer with us to support our libraries! Quarterly meetings are held on the second Saturday of February, May, September, and November at 9:45 a.m. in the Community Room at the Abington Free Library.
