Important Temporary Changes to Interlibrary Loan Services

June 27, 2025
Great news! The Montgomery County Norristown Public Library is getting a new building. Their existing building, on Powell Street in Norristown, is being completely renovated and rebuilt. While that work is being done, the Montgomery County Norristown Public Library is relocating to a temporary location at 1700 Markley Street in Norristown. While this transition from building to building takes place, there will be some impact on countywide services.

Interlibrary Loan, the service that allows you to borrow materials from across the state—and country!—will be on a brief pause until mid-July. Until then, we will not be accepting any Interlibrary Loan requests.

There may be some delays in getting your holds, as well.
The Pony, the service that transports books and other materials from one Montgomery County Library to another, has its homebase at Montgomery County Norristown Public Library and may see some delays.

We thank you for your patience, but welcome this opportunity to share a little more about how we get you the books and other materials you're looking for.
