The Abington Free Library is the main branch of the Abington Township Public Library. With over 300,000 books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, our Library of Things, and other items for loan, there’s something for everyone at the Abington Free Library.

The library has wireless internet, printing and copying, including wireless printing, and public computers. On the main floor, you’ll find our Circulation Department, Information Services Desk, Young Adult Section, and the Administrative Offices. Downstairs is our Children’s Department and Community Rooms. The Community Rooms are available to be reserved by the public.

Looking for a quiet place to study? The Abington Free Library has the Shorday Room for Quiet Study and two smaller study rooms for group work that can be reserved. You must reserve the small study rooms, as far out as one week in advance, either in person at the Information desk or over the phone. Walk-ins are possible, pending availability.

The Abington Free Library is also home to our Adult Literacy Program, a free program that serves adult English language learners and adult literacy students.

The Friends of the Abington Township Public Library’s BookCellar is on the ground floor of the building.
