Teens

The Teen Space at the Abington Free Library is just that – a space for teens! Teens are welcome to come hang out, check out a book or graphic novel, or play a board game. While everyone is invited to browse the collection, when school is not in session the Space is for teens only – no adults allowed!

Get Involved with the Library!

The Library's Teen Advisory Board (Ab-TAB) offers teens in grade 6-12 the opportunity to make a positive difference in the Library community. To learn more about the work they do and how to get involved, tap here: Ab-TAB .

Teen volunteer Events occur several times per year at the Library.  They range from making cards for local senior citizen centers, to painting our windows, to making blankets for the SPCA.  Registration is required for these events.  To se what is coming up, head to our online calendar of events.

More for Teens

The Library’s Q Crew is for LGBTQ+ teens and teen allies in grades 6-12. Q Crew is a safe space for teens to hang out, talk, and make new friends. There are crafts, activities, and of course, snacks.  Meets every second Tuesday at the Abington Free Library.

Teens: Read books, attend programs, win prizes! What could be better?

Volunteer to be a reading buddy to kids at the library during the summer.
