Resources for the School Year

As your child starts school, the library is here to help. On the shelves are:

Stories and chapter books to read,

Launchpads to practice educational  games,

and nonfiction books to search for facts.

Your library card also gives you these online resources through the Abington Library website:

World Book Early Learning for songs, stories, activities and games for Preschool through First Grade.

Tumble Books to read or listen to stories; BookFlix and TrueFlix for elementary age children to watch and read factual books.

Gale in Context to find reference books for Elementary, Middle School, and High School.

Learning Express School Center to practice Arithmetic for fourth grade and up, and Reading Skills for fifth grade and up.

For assignments to research and write papers, we recommend starting with the basic facts in a reference book from the library or found in Gale in Context or the Science Reference Center. Then expand your research with other books from the library shelves or from EBSCO eBooks.
