A. Nicole Phillips, a resident of Abington, is a partner at Montgomery McCracken Walker and Rhoads, LLP. She is in the Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s White Collar and Government Investigations group. Prior to Montgomery McCracken, Phillips spent 15 years as a prosecutor at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, which includes Montgomery County.
Phillips has tried hundreds of bench and jury trials for offenses such as attempted murder, robbery, rape and sexual assault, tax fraud, bank fraud, public corruption. Phillips will bring the insight of her years as a litigator to a discussion of this film that recounts one of the cases litigated by Thurgood Marshall during his time with the NAACP Legal Defense Fund before he became the nation’s first African-American Justice on the United States Supreme Court.
